Federal Tax Credit — Section 25C

Expired

The federal Section 25C energy efficiency tax credit, which previously offered up to $1,200/year for qualifying insulation improvements, expired at the end of 2025 and was not renewed for 2026.

We are actively monitoring federal legislation for any reinstatement or new energy efficiency tax credits. This page will be updated if new federal incentives become available.

The good news: Minnesota utility rebates remain robust and can save you hundreds to over a thousand dollars on your insulation project. Contact us for a free assessment to see which rebates you qualify for.

Note: If you completed an insulation project in 2025, you may still be eligible to claim the 25C credit on your 2025 tax return. Consult a tax professional for guidance.
